The picture is a field hockey action shot of freshman Melinda Weaver going to the ball. The opponents were wearing tunics, while Wooster players are in kilts. Weaver, class of 1975, was in the "W" Association Hall of Fame for her outstanding career at Wooster in both field hockey and lacrosse. She started all four years in both sports. The defender was in white shirt and tunic, an older style of uniform for field hockey. Wooster players are in a white shirt, McLeod plaid kilt, and white knee socks. Wooster kilts were wool with two black leather buckled straps on the side. Wooster's players provided their own uniforms at this time except for the kilts, which were acquired for the program by W.A.A. and were shared by both the field hockey and lacrosse programs. The administrative heads at the time were Nan Nichols and Maria Sexton.
