The image above is an action photo of Melinda Weaver from the 1972 women's lacrosse season. She is carrying the ball up the field with a defender in pursuit. A freshman, Weaver later became a dominant member of the attack for all four years. She will also later became the first Wooster player to be invited to stand for trials for the National Team during the 1975 U.S.W.L.A. National Tournament. HOF-1992. The women are see wearing a white shirt, McLeod plaid kilt, white knee socks. Players provided their own shirts. WAA provided the kilts. The women only had one uniform, playing in the same colors for both home and away. No numbers or team names were on their uniforms. The administrative heads at the time were Nan Nichols and Maria Sexton.
