The image above is a team photo of the Sophomore Class Field Hockey Team from 1917-18. Coach Ruth Conrow is in the center back of the group, and all individuals are identified by name. This group was one of two Class Field Hockey Teams the women formed that year. The players are wearing sailor tops, bloomers, and scarfs with black stockings and athletic shoes. Coach Conrow is also pictured in that same outfit as well. An English toed field hockey stick is visible in the front center of the group. Short hairstyles with some narrow headbands are pictured on the players, which was typical of the Roaring Twenties. Coach Ruth Hunt Conrow was the administrative head at the time.
