In front of group was a pile of items used in the class competitions: tennis rackets, baseball balls, bats, catcher's mask and chest protector, and rope for tug or war. Two students in the photo were holding tennis racquets: one male and one female. Woman [#32-Kate A Deer] was holding a racket with proper tennis grip. Male [#28] was holding a racket like a banjo. The women were wearing high collared dresses with long sleeves. Hemlines fall to ankles. Some were wearing hats. The men were wearing suits and a variety of ties such as bow ties, ascots, wide ties.
