The tennis champion was Katharine Gorton, the champions for Deck Tennis were Ruth and Mildred Creighton, and the archery champion was Josephine Guss. Tennis was a very popular sport among Wooster co-eds, and large number turn out for the tournaments. A keen interest was shown in it by all. Katherine Gorton of the Junior Class won the finals of the 1930 season. Deck Tennis, a comparatively new sport, had been received with great enthusiasm. In the Fall of 1930, a tournament was held for all those wishing to participate in this fascinating game. The winning team consisted of Mildred and Ruth Creighton, Sophomore and Freshman respectively. Archery was offered to the girls in both Spring and Fall seasons, and was patronized by many. Josephine Guss of the Sophomore Class won the tournament for 1930.
