The picture above was captioned, "Wooster Meets Lake Erie." The girls from Lake Erie College at Painesville invaded the Wooster campus this year for one of the most exciting basketball games seen here in a long time. The game was nip and tuck all the way, but Wooster kept ahead in both halves and the game finished with a final score of 46-42. Those playing on the Wooster all-star team were Dorothy Aten, Nancy Campbell, Marge Danforth, Anne Ferguson, Nancy Helm, Marian Layer, Betty Marker, Mim Mowry, Nancy Parkinson, Marjory Steltzer, Marge Wilmer, Barbara Woodward, and Dottie Woodworth. Let's hope that they came down again next year to match their basketball starts with ours. Photo shows five women running down the court out of the key, three were wearing pinnies. All have on shirts and shorts. The woman with the ball was about to make a pass and is in full run. They appear to be heading away from the basket, so must be defenders coming out with the ball. All players were wearing shirts and shorts. The three women in the photo were wearing pinnies to distinguish them as a team. The administrative head at the time was Kathleen Lowrie.
