This is a photo of the Honorary 'Varsity' from 1924. Much attention had been given this year to the selection of the Black and Gold teams. They were composed of the best players in the upper-class teams. After they had played one game, the best players were selected from the players to make up the Varsity team. To be a member of the Varsity team was the highest honor a Wooster girl could attain in basketball. All were in sailor style dark tops. Some had scarves on. The administrative head at the time was Kathleen Lowrie.
