In the picture above, Laurie Priest is shown working basketball concessions, with Marcia Clever in the background. Priest scooped popcorn while Clever filled soda cups. W.A.A. ran concessions for basketball and football games, with their profits going towards women's sports and recreation. Funds were often used to help buy uniforms, pay for special events, and sent women athletes to post-season play. Women's teams often helped in the concessions as did members of the W.A.A. board and organization. The administrative head at the time was Nan Nichols.
