A fighting Freshman women's team from Hoover captures the second place. In the basketball tournament, the Peanuts again walked off with the honors, with the Sphinx taking second place." W.A.A. ran intramural programs in a variety of sports. It was traditional at this time for the social clubs to field teams for both volleyball and basketball. Both Peanuts and Sphinx had great traditions of winning intramural sports teams. The women were wearing white blouses and shorts. Several of them were wearing Peanut T-shirts. The administrative head at the time was Kathleen Lowrie.
