The New Athletic Field, 1914-15

The_New_Athletic_Field_191415.jpg

The collage above depicts photos of The New Athletic Field. The top photo is of the Grandstands. This photo shows the baseball stands that were built into the Northwest corner of the bowl, where the Scot Center is now. The baseball field was located there until the 1960's when the new P.E.C. was constructed near this area. The bottom photo was taken looking towards the south entrance. This was the actual construction of the football field. Horses and mules are seen being used to drag the field. You can see a wooden fence that encloses the field and athletic complex. The administrative head at the time was Bernice Wikoff.
