Sharks_Woman_doing_handstand_on_diving_board_19591960.jpg

This is a photograph of the Sharks synchronized swim team. A woman was doing a handstand on the diving board with three other women watching her in awe. The caption reads "Everybody's seen this 'headstand on the board' stunt, but the feat during the annual Sharks' Review provides special interest for the three 'thinkers,' Nancy Stump, Ann Scaff, and Carol Young." The athletes were pictured in one-piece swimsuits. The administrative head at the time was Maria Sexton.
