The WAA co-rec nights in the gym offered a wide variety of entertainment. The pool was open for co-ed swimming, badminton and folk dancing compete in the gym. And volleyball is played fast and furiously in the cage, with the men always turning out the stars. Here Liz Jones, Herb Anderson, and Keith Shearer are depicted looking on as Jane Wilbur and Marge Abbott reach for the ball. At least eight people appear to be on their side of the net. Co-recreational opportunities are very big in the 1950's, as are life-time sports. The social aspect of sport was pushed for women during this era. The women are seen wearing t-shirts, tops, shorts, slacks, socks, tennis shoes and casual clothing. The administrative head at the time was Kathleen Lowrie.
